about

I worked at a historic site in Alberta one summer to save up for Carrie and I's honeymoon to Italy. There was a greensman there in his 70s. Sometimes in the mornings before he started mowing we would sit on a picnic table and talk. We'd talk about fishing and gambling and my future wife. He would often say "You sir have a beautiful woman and my eyes are old but they see just fine." I know...kind of creppy...kind of endearing. There is such a thin line between the two.

This song isn't written from his perspective. It's written from mine. When I'm in my 70s my eyes will still enjoy looking at my wife, they will see just fine

lyrics

You, you've got a new hairstyle.
The guys kinda like it,
the girls think it's a little to wild.
Hey! you've got a new way to dance.
The guys kinda like it,
the girls just think that you're looking for attention
thought they'd never mention it.

I've got eyes that see just fine,
when it comes to you.
